- Yough River Trail Biking

Come Bike the Yough River Trail from Cedar Creek Park to Whitsett and back (approx
6 miles)
Bring your own bike or rent one at the trail access in Cedar Creek Park
Directions: Take Interstate 70 East to Exit 46B (Route 51 North). Follow
Route 51 North to the first traffic light (¼ mile). Not far from the traffic
light, look for the Cedar Creek Park sign on the right. Turn right, then
left at the next Cedar Creek Park sign. Continue to follow the signs to the
park.
Details: A walking, biking, equestrian, and cross country-skiing trail, the
Youghiogheny River Trail is part of a regional system of trails that
stretches 43 miles between McKeesport, PA and Connellsville, PA; which in a
rail-trail that will eventually link Pittsburgh to Washington D.C.
The YRT is a part of the Great Allegheny Passage trail connecting
Cumberland, MD to Pittsburgh, PA and connects to the C&O Canal Towpath trail
running 185 miles along the Potomac River, from Washington DC to Cumberland,
MD and a part of the Potomac Heritage National Scenic Trail system.
