Nanotechnology

Explore the fundamental concepts of nanotechnology, including past, present and future applications. Participants will engage in a "nanotech in current products" activity that they can take back to their classroom and utilize with their students as a way to introduce to the topic. Introducing students to nanotech through research and experimental design will be explored through a process called electro spinning where the participants will run experiments to produce their own polymer nanofibers. Tips for writing successful grants for classroom teachers will also be explored.
