Robotics


Designed for teachers will little experience in robotics and non-programmers, this session will help teachers quickly learn to program robots using wait states, loops, conditional statements, and feedback from sensors. Instruction will be provided on older RCX LEGO robots, newer NXT LEGO robots, and the Vex robot system using a C-based program language. Teachers will learn about robotics competitions such as TSA and First Lego League.   Advanced - For teachers who have used robotics before (or who complete the Introductory Control session on Monday-Tuesday), this session will provide advanced instruction in programming LEGO and Vex robots using C. Teachers will gain additional insight into robotics competitions such as TSA and First Lego League.
